Touring Vietnam

Highlights of Vietnam is an exceptional value tour covering the three very different regions of this rapidly changing country.  Over 7 nights stays in Saigon, Hue, Hoi An, and Hanoi are included.

An ideal tour for honeymooners, Mountains and Beaches combines Saigon with the peaceful mounatin resort of Dalat and Vietnam's most famous beach twon of Nha Trang over 8 nights.

South Vietnam - Saigon & Mekong Delta

Saigon, today's Ho Chi Minh City, is the bustling and vibrant economic centre of South Vietnam. Visit the History Museum, Thien Hau Pagoda, Binh Tay Markets and the Chinatown district of Cholon. Explore Cu Chi, the impressive underground tunnel network built by Vietnamese guerilla fighters and their supporters during the long struggle for independence.

Combine Saigon with the lush scenic world of the Mekong Delta. 3 day/2 night Delta packages are available including Chou Doc, Can Tho and Vinh Long.  Or experience a piece of history on our 2 day/1 night Long Tan Trek, from the now famous battle that took place in 1966. North Vietnam - Hanoi, Halong Bay & Highlands

Hanoi is a city of lakes, broad boulevards lined with tamarind trees, yellow stucco buildings and bicycles. Visit ancient temples such as the 11th century Temple of Literature, the Revolutionary Museum, the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the One Pillar Pagoda and teh famous 36 streets of the Old Quarter.

Halong Bay, a World Heritage site, is studded with thousands of limestone outcrops, islands, and grottos of surreal beauty. Haiphong is the busy atmospheric port town. Cat Ba is the largest island in Halong Bay and can be visited by hydrofoil.  If you want to really explore Halong Bay, cruise aboard a refurbished junk, dropping anchor overnight and stopping to visit grottoes and swim from deserted beaches by day.

At the old Fench hill-station of Sapa enjoy the stunning scenery, see the colourful hill-tribe people and explore the markets and restaurants of this quaint trading town.

Central Vietnam and Beach Resorts

Central Vietnam is known for these two historical cities; Hue was the imperial city of Vietnam and the centre of Vietnamese culture and Hoi An was a stop for merchant fleets travelling between China and India. Combine these two cities to experience the authentic and tradition of Vietnam. 

Include the beaches of Vietnam in your itinerary to unwind before or after touring the country. The coastal city and busy port of Danang is the gateway to China Beach, one of Vietnam's best beaches.  Danang is famous for Marble Mountain, deep within it's heart is a natural grotto where a temple reflecting Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist influence can be found. 

Quy Nhon is a charming seaside town located on the central coast of Vietnam, but yet untouched by the mass tourism. Discover the pristine waters of Phu Quoc, only a short flight from Saigon, the southwest coast of this 48km island features some of the most beautiful palm-lined beaches in Vietnam.

Nha Trang is a popular beach resort and an important centre of Cham civilisation, our selection of accommodation offers 5 night stays for the price of 4 nights during certain seasons and include transfers from Can Ranh airport. Phan Thiet is located close to Saigon, scheduled transfers are included in resort rates.

Cambodia

Cambodia lies in the heart of Indochina, sharing borders with Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.  It is most famous for the Angkor Temples, one of mankind's most extraordinary acheivements and one of the world's "must see" places.  A peaceful kingdom, Cambodia offers it's own style of beauty: the faded stucco of French colonial buildings at sunset, the unique architecture of the Royal Palace, the quiet chants from a Buddhist temple and a lush green countryside studded with sugar-palms.

The capital, Phnom Penh, maintains charm from yesteryear, with it's markets and sidewalk cafes along the riverfront.  Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and Wat Phnom. Also worthwhile is a visit to the notorious "Killing Fields" adn Tuol Sleng Museum, both of which chronicle the unfortunate years under the brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge.

Siem Reap is a charming tree-lined city with a narrow river flowing through the centre of town and is the home of the Temples of Angkor, a World Heritage site. 

Classic Cambodia, 4 days/3 nights, can be taken as a private or group tour and combines Phnom Penh with the breathtaking monuments of Angkor. This tour can be upgraded as a private tour to stay at the luxurious historic Raffles Hotels in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Both Le Royal and Grand Hotels were built in the grand days of early twentieth century travel and have been resorted to their former splendour while offering every modern convenience.

For a more in depth experience, the Cambodia Discovery Tour includes areas that have been out of reach for decades and portray the real essence of Cambodia.  This 7 day/6 night tour is only arranged on a private basis. 

The lovely beaches of Sihanoukville are some of the most unspoiled in all of Southeast Asia, enjoy 2 nights on the Sihanoukville Beach Break for a perfect tropical getaway.

Laos

Landlocked Laos shares it's borders with China, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.  A land of magnificent scenery, exquisitely decorated Buddhist temples, and friendly, hospitable people.

Vientiane, the capital, is located on the banks of the Mekong and is a charming fusion of French architecture and beautiful Buddhist temples. Luang Prabang, also on the Mekong River, is a World Heritage site and said to be the best preserved traditional town in southeast Asia.

Cruising the Mekong River is not only one of the world's great river journeys but also the ideal way to approach this stunningly beautiful and unspoilt land.  The Slow Boat to Laos, 6 day/5 night package, departs from Chang Rai in Thailand and stops in Pakbeng, Luang Prabang and Vientiane.

Bangkok and Thailand Touring

Bangkok, the bustling capital of Thailand located on the Cho Phraya River in central Thailand. Bangkok offers great shopping, Thai cuisine and amazing temples including the oldest and largest temple in Thailand. Take a day trip to Kanchanaburi to visit historic River Kwai, visit the ancient city of Ayutthaya - former capital of Siam and the Unesco World Heritage site, or the most famous of the floating markets - Damnoen Saduak.

Khao Lak, one hour north of Phuket Island stretching along the western coastline of Phang-Nga Province. The natural beauty of Khao Sok National Park fringes the long beaches.

Phi Phi Island is well-known for its emerald waters, sandy beaches and awesome cliffs.

Krabi is situated on the Andaman coast opposite Phuket with spectacular white sandy beaches & islands with amazing limestone formations.

Koh Lanta lies between Krabi and Phi Phi Island, and offers unspoilt sandy beaches and a real sence of raw Thailand.

Northern Thailand - Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai

Chiang Mai located in northern Thailand is known for its culture, history and handicrafts. Visit some of Chiang Mai's 300 temples including the temple ruins of Wiang Kum Kam or the 14th century Lanna temple.

Chiang Rai known as one of the country's most rural areas with easy access to the Golden Triangle and Mekong Valley.
